Do you want to participate in the arts and have fun supporting your community? Do enjoy meeting new people and making friends? Many people do including individuals, couples, families and groups of friends who are active volunteers at the New Civic. This is a great way to meet new people and take part in the excitement of Destination Downtown Akron. Plus you’ll get to see great shows for free! We are always looking for dedicated, courteous individuals to add to our volunteer staff.

Volunteers are needed to take tickets, seat patrons, distribute programs, and sell food and beverages for all our performances. Volunteers must be able to stand for a period of time, walk comfortably and provide excellent customer service to our patrons. More than 300 ushers are needed for more than 100 performances each season. Civic volunteers are a vital part of the theatre operation and provide a wealth of valuable services to patrons. Training is provided.

Please contact Volunteer Coordinator/House Manager Coordinator Tiffany Schmidt for more information and to volunteer.
