Join us for Weathervane’s Winter Workshops!

Get over the winter blues with some artistic fun.

Workshops are open to all levels. Each workshop is 5-weeks long. Prepare for Spring classes by trying something new or continuing your theatre education. Workshops are available for ages 3-17. Workshops start January 12, 2019.

Winter Audition Workshop
Ages 9 -15
Sunday December 2, 2018
10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Tuition: $45.00

Have an audition coming up? Join us for this one day workshop to get you ready for your next audition. This workshop will allow you to get one on one feedback from experienced instructors on your monologue and song selections, build confidence, ask questions, and prepare your materials. Once students register, you will be sent a link to sign up for your time slot. Each student will have 30 minutes to work with our instructors.

Please bring your materials and audition requirements to be reviewed.

Hogwarts Holiday Express
Ages 7-12
Saturday, December 29th  from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (Check-in begins at 2:45 p.m.)
Tuition: $55.00

Give the gift of Hogwarts! Join us for our second annual  Hogwarts Holiday Express at Weathervane Playhouse to catch a glimpse of what we offer through our Summer Theatre Academy. 

 Students will "pre-sorted" into houses and take part in classes such as Potions, Magical Cooking, Muggle Studies, and more! The event will end with a feast featuring Muggle food plus beverages and desserts made by the students in their Magical Cooking Class. And, the awarding of the House Cup.

Students can also earn a SPEW (Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare) Badge by donating a new stuffed animal or socks to be donated to the Battered Women's Shelter.

Arts & Culture Inclusion Council Presents: Representation Matters- Photography and Ad Spend

April 4, 2024 | 12:00-1:00 p.m. | Online

In this virtual workshop, Rob Greer, Tyron Hoisten, and Elizabeth Tipton will discuss why representation matters in advertising and content creation, drawing on their recent experience participating in ArtsNow’s SEEN initiative. This panel will be moderated by a member of the Arts & Culture Inclusion Council.

Who should attend?
Nonprofit and for-profit leadership and marketing/communication professionals interested in learning about SEEN and participating in a conversation about the importance of authenticity and representation in our work.
