2nd Annual Empty Bowl Event to benefit Family Promise of Summit County

Come to the 2nd Annual Empty Bowl Event hosted by Woodridge High School to Support Family Promise of Summit County and enjoy Great FOOD & ART! Tickets $25 for handmade bowl + dinner, or $10 for dinner. All proceeds benefit Family Promise.

The Woodridge High School Art Department is partnering with Family Promise of Summit County to present The Empty Bowl Fundraiser to benefit the organization.  They invite the community to join them January 29, 2016, from 5-7 pm at Woodridge High School.  Family Promise of Summit County is an emergency center for homeless families with children in need.  Many shelters separate children from their parents during a homeless crisis. Family Promise is unique because their mission is to minimize the trauma to children during a homeless event by keeping families together during a time of homelessness.

This is the second year of the event. Woodridge High School Ceramics students will be making more than 100 custom ceramic bowls, using a variety of clay building techniques.  The FCCLA will be educating students in grades K-12 about homelessness.
