October 1-6th, The School of Dance, Theatre and Arts Administration with DANCECleveland is hosting A.I.M Abraham.In.Motion dance company for a weeklong residency that will culminate in the company’s performance at EJ Thomas Hall

This multi-day educational residency that focuses on experiential learning, uniquely preparing students for the professional dance field. Artistic Director Kyle Abraham and his dancers will guest teach several classes during the week including Ballet, Modern, Choreography and Learning Theory. Students will also have the opportunity to attend informal lunches with company members.

On Saturday, October 6that 7:30 P.M., A.I.M will perform four pieces at E.J Thomas Hall. State is a collaborative piece between choreographer Andrea Miller and a trio of Abraham’s dancers: Kayla Farrish, Catherine Ellis Kirk and Tamisha Guy. Indyis a solo piece featuring Abraham himself that recently premiered at the Joyce Theater. Meditation: A Silent Prayeris a provocative piece that references the lives of Eric Garner, Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown through projected facial images and voice over by artist Carrie Mae Weems and music by Craig Harris.
