Akron author Jean Henriott Trawick Book Signing at Crafty Mart

Akron author Jean Henriott Trawick will be at Crafty Mart, Akron, Ohio, on Saturday, November 25th from 11-2, with her children’s book, “Spooklin”.

She wrote the book in 1956 while attending a Children’s Literature class at Heidelberg College, using fabric and other materials to illustrate the story. Many years later, the book was published with the author’s illustrations.

Once upon a time, Spooklin was born in the Kingdom of Boo. He wasn’t like the others in the kingdom and went on a journey to find himself. Fly along with Spooklin as he exchanges the comforts and safety of home for a year of discovery and adventure. The book was written for children 4 to 8 years of age and contains original illustrations, page-turning action, and a happy ending.

Ms. Trawick is a mixed-media artist. She has spent much of her life in education and corporate training (while raising two children) until realizing her dream – expressing herself through art and writing.
