Akron-Canton March for Babies

Presented by March of Dimes - Northeast OH Division at Lock 3 Akron, Akron OH

May 07 2016
Akron-Canton March for Babies

March For Babies is the March of Dimes signature event fundraiser and supports our mission of improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Attendees will include individual walkers, family and corporate teams, team captains, sponsors and Community volunteers. In an average year in Ohio, 140,000 babies are born – and 17,000 of them are born too soon. Premature babies often spend their first weeks in the NICU fighting for life, and often have lasting consequences such as vision and hearing loss or learning disabilities

The March for Babies is a 4 mile walk or 1 mile family fun route that starts at Lock 3 park, ending back at Lock 3 for food and entertainment.
