The Akron Symphony Guild will host a Spring Garden Party on May 3 at The Owl Barn at Dayton Nursery in Norton.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. and will feature wine and light hors d’oeuvres, a presentation by Tom Dayton entitled What’s New for 2019, and an opportunity to shop the nursery for spring annuals, perennials and shrubs.
A portion of each purchase made that evening, and through Monday, May 6, by patrons who mention the Guild at check-out, will benefit the Akron Symphony Guild’s numerous community projects.
In addition, guests will have an opportunity to purchase tickets for one of three raffle baskets to be awarded during the evening. The baskets include an in-home professional photography package, a gardening basket with plants and supplies, garden art and tickets to the Master Gardeners’ June Tour of Gardens, and a Symphony package with concert vouchers, a behind the scenes tour at an upcoming concert and tickets to upcoming Guild events.
