Are you new to activism? Have you ever wished there was an easy place to collect the basics on what you’re finding that you’re passionate about? Well, look no further! Akron Minority Council is proud to present our “Intro to -Isms” workshop series! AMC executive board members and community leaders will be guiding the community in beginning to understand essential history, terminology and facts to combat bigotry in all its forms! Mini-lecture will take place from 7-7:30 and judgement free discussion will take place from 7:30 until all have had a chance to share! Each registered participant will also be emailed a “syllabus” as a parting gift — a list of books, movies, organizations and other resources related to each night’s topic to further your knowledge and activism! Please register for the workshop(s) you’d like to attend by the day prior, at latest. Watch out for the Zoom links in your email and we’ll see you soon!
