OUT-OF-THE-BOX AUCTION to benefit Summit Artspace
The Out-of-the-Box Auction boxes are now on display at Summit Artspace until the event. The auction has been part of the Arts Alive! event since 2001. Local artists donate ingenious creations with their special signature designs on the ultimate utilitarian form – the box! The boxes for bidding are traditional or outlandish, literal or conceptual, sculptural or two-dimensional.
Over the years, the Out-of-the-Box creations have become collector’s items for Arts Alive! patrons, including artists, educators, business people and community and government leaders who attend the event. Artist Joan Colbert is chairperson of the auction.
Summit Artspace gallery hours are: Thursdays and Fridays, noon to 7 p.m. and Saturdays, noon to 5 p.m. For information, call 330-376-8480.
