Inna Faliks
The program features her autobiographical Polonaise-Fantasie, the Story of a Pianist, a monologue-recital about immigration, becoming a musician, and a love story.
Ukrainian-born American pianist Inna Faliks established herself as one of the most exciting, committed, communicative, and poetic artists of her generation. She made a name for herself through her commanding performances of standard piano repertoire, as well as genre-bending interdisciplinary projects, and inquisitive work with contemporary composers. She won many prestigious competitions, including the Hilton Head International Competition and the coveted International Pro Musicis Award. Faliks serves as Professor of Piano and Head of Piano at UCLA.
