Band member of the Dreemers, Ben Patrick will showcase his new work created from his residency with Akron Soul Train.

Ben Patrick is one of Akron Soul Train’s 2019 artist-in-resident winners and used his time to create new, solo work with influences of rock n roll, R&B, soul, and funk to doo-wop, jazz and blues.  As a multi-instrumentalist, Ben pulls from the old and creates a fresh, new sound.  Ben has assembled a special group of musicians to perform with for one night only!  His supergroup features members of The Dreemers, See Creatures, Time Cat, Acid Cats, and more.  Samantha Grace will open the show.

EASY FREE DOWNTOWN AKRON PARKING
Parking is a breeze when you’re coming to Musica! Event parking is FREE at the LIBRARY PARKING DECK at 40 S. HIGH STREET, on the corner of Market and High Street. This deck is across the street from the Akron Art Museum and attached to Akronym Brewing. Take the cross-walk at Market Street and you’ll be at Musica! Parking is free on nights and weekends. Please don’t park on the lot on Maiden Lane outside of Musica as those spots are reserved for residents of The Lofts.

Arts & Culture Inclusion Council Presents: Representation Matters- Photography and Ad Spend

In this virtual workshop, Rob Greer, Tyron Hoisten, and Elizabeth Tipton will discuss why representation matters in advertising and content creation, drawing on their recent experience participating in ArtsNow’s SEEN initiative. This panel will be moderated by a member of the Arts & Culture Inclusion Council.
