The Blue Ridge Trombone Quartet will perform in concert on Wednesday, October 19 at 7:30 p.m. in Guzzetta Recital Hall. The Blue Ridge Trombone Quartet was formed in 2012 with the same mission as the marital saying: “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue,” bringing to light timeless classics from the quartet repertoire, newly-composed works, and rearrangements of organ, opera, and orchestral repertoire. Members of the quartet include Dr. Nathan Dishman (Iowa State University), Dr. Drew Leslie (Colorado State University), Sean McGhee (Cincinnati-based freelance trombonist and educator), and Dr. Cory Mixdorf (University of Arkansas). The quartet has performed at universities and festivals across the United States, including a performance with The U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own” at the 2019 American Trombone Workshop.
