Brick Road Ramblers

“Last Saturday was probably the most fun I’ve had at a concert in 20 years. No joke, you guys were fabulous!! (Our family members) have already expressed an interest in attending one of your shows in November.” – Steve L. in Cleveland, Ohio

The Brick Road Ramblers — named for Akron’s 100-year-old red-bricked avenues — serve up a blend of old-time favorites and contemporary folk classics with a banjo-driven old-time sound that has thrilled festival crowds of all ages since 1996.

The Brick Road Ramblers are a four-member string band that will fire off a blistering fiddle tune, follow it with a Beatles favorite, and, without missing a beat, segue’ into a cowboy sing along…or a Broadway melody…or a blues jam…or an old-time country tune…or a turn-of-the century porch-swing song…or a Civil War march…or a Dylan masterpiece.

The group’s eclectic musical pallet springs from each member’s interest in an array of different genres: old-time fiddling, bluegrass, 60s folk, standards, traditional Irish, and rock ‘n’ roll.

To our knowledge, we perform the only banjo version of the Kinks classic “Lola” and the only version of Rawhide that draws applause at a restaurant that specializes in vegetarian fare!
