CALL TO ARTISTS: CVAC's Membership Exhibition

CALL TO ARTISTS:
CVAC is looking to showcase the talents of their current membership. Artwork will be arranged by media in 7 different categories for submission: Watercolor Media, Water Based Media, Oil Based Media, Dry Media, Mixed Media, 3-Dimensional Media & Photographic Media. These categories are reflective of the courses taught at CVAC to highlight the different art mediums that their members excel in.

CVAC will be accepting submissions on;
FRIDAY, JULY 23RD FROM 10:00 – 3:00 PM &
SATURDAY, JULY 24TH FROM 10:00 – 3:00 PM.
COST: $30 FOR UP TO 2 ENTRIES FOR CVAC MEMBERS.
*Must be a current member of the Cuyahoga Valley Art Center. Membership sign-ups and renewals are allowed during take-in for submissions. Early Submissions will be accepted. Please visit CVAC’s Facebook Page or sign-up for the weekly emails for the most current information. 

This juried entry exhibition will have 7 “Best of” Category winners, 7 People’s Choice individual category winners and up to 14 honorable mentions. Juror Bruce Stebner, President of the Akron Society of Artists, will select a “Best of” Category winner and up to two honorable mentions for each category. This exhibition is highly competitive with 7-12 pieces being selected per category. A People’s Choice Selection process, starting July 27th, shall dictate a People’s Choice Category winner for each category, to be announced at the end of the Artists Reception on August 13th. This reception is free to the public and the People’s Choice voting shall conclude at 6:00 PM with awards announced at 6:30 PM. People’s Choice Award winners shall receive a $50 Cheap Joes gift card.

The Best of Category winners shall receive a cash prize of $100, to be celebrated and recognized at the Artist Reception on August 13th from 5:30 – 7:00 PM.  This reception is free to the public and correlates with the Falls Downtown Fridays event.
