CALL TO ARTISTS:
THE CUYAHOGA VALLEY ART CENTER (CVAC) IS ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS TO THEIR JURIED FLORAL & LANDSCAPES EXHIBITION JULY 26TH & JULY 27TH, A NEW EXHIBITION.
CVAC is looking to showcase the talents of participating artists depictions of flowers & landscapes. CVAC encourages work that is realistic and or abstracted portraying flowers, landscapes, cityscapes, seascapes, and skylines, all mediums are encouraged. CVAC will be accepting submissions on Friday, July 26th from 10:00 – 7:00 PM and Saturday, July 27th from 10:00 – 2:00 PM. Cost is $30 for up to 2 entries for CVAC Members and $35 for up to 2 entries for non-CVAC members.
This open exhibition is juried, with the juror determining accepted submissions and the cash awards for Best of Show, Second Place and Third Place in the amount of $100, $75 & $50 sequentially, as well as up to five honorable mentions. This juried exhibition will highlight works of art spanning across a plethora of differing artistic mediums. “This particular exhibition shall highlight the visual impact of flowers & landscapes as depicted by our artistic community.” tells Danielle Dieterich, Executive Director of CVAC. “We are excited to see what our members and the arts community has to share with us.”
This exhibition opens to the public on Tuesday, July 30th. Awards will be distributed as the winners are celebrated during the Floral & Landscapes Exhibition Reception on Friday, August 23rd from 5:00-7:30 PM. Patrons will have the opportunity to mingle with the artists, enjoy refreshments and hors d’oeuvres and purchase art during this free reception.

Juror Biography:
Jessica Loftus: Jessica Loftus is a 3rd generation painter, who grew up surrounded by traditional landscape painters in New Mexico. She has been holding a brush since she was 8 years old and has obtained her degree in painting from the University of Texas. She is the curator for Western Reserve Hospital & the Mustard Seed Cafe and has previous experience as an art juror.
