Experience the culinary, and folkloric musical and artistic traditions of Latin American in a celebration of faith, tradition and culture in honor of Our Virgin of Guadalupe on Dec. 13th, 2015.
Join us for one of Latin America’s biggest, oldest celebrations; a celebration of faith, tradition, and culture in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Latin Americans host celebrations during the early days of December to honor the apparition of the Virgin Mary to Juan Diego, known as the Guadalupe event.
Proyecto RAICES invites you to participate in a Bilingual Mass Sunday, December 13th, 2015 at 2:00pm at the St. Matthew Parish (2580 Berne St., Akron, OH 44312). After the service, at 3:30pm, partake in a colorful, vibrant program presenting Latin American folkloric dances, songs, and music. Food will be served following the presentation. A $10 donation will get you a drink and a food plate. There will be traditional food items like tamales, pozole along with desserts. The program will take place at the St. Mattew School Gym.
