Nikki Bartel, resident artist at the Art Center on Tusc (ACOT), will aid us through creative inspirational exercises. Regardless if you consider yourself an artist or not – this workshop will inspire you to explore your creativity.

Nikki Bartel, resident artist at the Art Center on Tusc (ACOT), will aid us through creative inspirational exercises. Regardless of whether you consider yourself an artist or not – this workshop will inspire you to explore your creativity.

During the class, Nikki will lead you through various exercises.  Each exercise you do is timed – yes timed!  Keeping the exercise short and sweet prevents you from judging your work and therefore freeing your mind to explore.  Past participants also have said by keeping the exercises short, you never get bored.  Always moving onto the next project and then all of a sudden you realize that 2 hours have passed!

Each exercise works with different media from paints, ink, paper folding, collage, drawing, incorporating various techniques and skills to develop your ideas.  All materials are provided – all you need to bring is yourself (and a friend or two!)  By the end of the evening you will have created multiple projects and a few collaborative ... view more »
