Cuddles and Consent - Exploring Boundaries and Respect

Cuddles and Consent - Exploring Boundaries and Respect

Though this event focuses on NONSEXUAL touch, it is for adults only, please.

Human touch triggers production of oxytocin, leading to feelings of happiness, love, contentment, safety, and trust. Sounds good, right?

Undesired touch cancels out all these benefits and elicits a negative response. What if we don’t feel empowered to say yes or no to being touched? What if our boundaries have been broken? What if we don’t know what our boundaries are or how to set them? What if we would like to be touched but are afraid to let things go further than we want?

Come join Jennifer Betz with Whole Self Productions, to experience an evening of empowerment and human contact (and cookies).

Through discussion and exercises, we will explore the meaning of personal boundaries and consent, different types of touch and their effects, and actions we can take to set boundaries.

After, there will be some open time to further experiment with boundary-setting and personal contact, and finding your comfortable space within each.
