Dance Day Spring 2016

This engaging and free event is for high school students who are interested in dance at the collegiate level. Teachers and advisors are also welcome.

AKRON, OH – The University of Akron Dance program invites Dance Educators and their students to Dance Day on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 1:00-6:00 p.m. in Guzzetta Hall on The University of Akron campus. This engaging and free event is for high school students who are interested in dance at the collegiate level. Teachers and advisors are also welcome. Dance Day is an ideal opportunity to learn first-hand about UA’s exciting Dance Program. The event will offer an immersive experience with dance faculty and students. Participants will take master classes in various dance styles and attend an information session on what to look for in a college dance program. The day will end with UA alumni talking about their professional dance careers followed by an informal performance by UA dance students.

PARKING INFO

Parking for audience members attending evening and weekend performances is free in the E.J. Thomas Hall deck when there is not an event in that venue. Handicap-accessible parking for audience members is available in all lots, including the residential surface lot across from Guzzetta Hall.

Arts & Culture Inclusion Council Presents: Representation Matters- Photography and Ad Spend
