Fall for dance with the fresh, dynamic and forward-thinking, Gibney Dance! The New York-based company has a rigorous history as a contemporary dance company that pushes boundaries, challenges perception and empowers its dancers.

Fall for dance with the fresh, dynamic and forward-thinkingGibney Dance! The New York-based company has a rigorous history as a contemporary dance company that pushes boundaries, challenges perception and empowers its dancers as both artists and activists on and off the stage. Under the Artistic Direction of Case Western Reserve University alumna Gina Gibney, who was named “One of the Most Influential People in Dance Today” by Dance Magazine, the company has grown since its inception in 1991 to include exquisite dancers performing an array of works by some of the most in-demand choreographers today. The Akron performance will include a new work, “Oh Courage,” by the widely popular, Tony Award-winning choreographer Sonya Tayeh of So You Think You Can Dance fame.
