Envision Akron Middlebury: What is possible?

An Innovative Pre-Cursor Event to Middlebury Better Block & Akron City Repair

Rooted Akron, The W.O.M.B., The Big Love Network, Grateful 4 Grace, & The Gathering, with support from Neighborhood Network of University Park (NNUP), Middlebury Better Block, Akron City Repair, Food Not Bombs & ArtsNow, present Envision Akron Middlebury taking place at The W.O.M.B. Community Garden (corner of East Market Street & South Arlington Road) on June 12 from noon to 5 p.m.

What would happen if the leveraging power of forming partnerships & alliances was used to transform communities from the inside out? What if visions of what a community desires, needs, dreams, & aspires to be were heard? What would our community look like if people were empowered to be agents of change?

Envision Akron Middlebury is a community driven movement for the people by the people of Akron. Together, we will visualize, express, discuss, & begin to implement how & where the roots of this beloved city can grow while celebrating what we have already created.

Arts & Culture Inclusion Council Presents: Representation Matters- Photography and Ad Spend

In this virtual workshop, Rob Greer, Tyron Hoisten, and Elizabeth Tipton will discuss why representation matters in advertising and content creation, drawing on their recent experience participating in ArtsNow’s SEEN initiative. This panel will be moderated by a member of the Arts & Culture Inclusion Council.

Nonprofit and for-profit leadership and marketing/communication professionals interested in learning about SEEN and participating in a conversation about the importance of authenticity and representation in our work.
