The workshop is designed to teach students many of the basic skills necessary for creating beautiful and transparent watercolor paintings.  Lessons will be sequential and are designed for students with little or no previous experience with this medium. Some basic drawing skills are helpful but not a prerequisite.  Students who complete this workshop will have the skills needed to confidently join any of our other CVAC watercolor classes.

Students will be required to bring their own supplies, supply list provided.

SALLY HESTON BIOGRAPHY

Sally Heston’s career as an artist and art teacher spans four decades.  She holds a BS in Art Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Masters of Education in Art from the University of Pittsburgh.  She is a retired K-12 art teacher and recently retired from teaching at Virginia Marti College in Lakewood.  Sally has had several solo exhibits in recent years and has won many awards in local and regional art shows.  Sally is a signature member of the Ohio and Pennsylvania Watercolor Societies and a member of the Whiskey Painters of America.  She has taught watercolor and drawing classes at CVAC since 2004.
