Fall Fired Up!

On September 29, Don Drumm Studios & Gallery celebrates the opening of Fall Fired Up! – its annual Fall Show featuring glass by Jack Pine and ceramics by Peggy Wollins on display through October 27.

It’s out of the fire and into the gallery for our red-hot Fall Show artists. Join us at the opening celebration September 29 10 am to 5 pm.  Show runs through October 27.

Featured artist Jack Pine has been blowing 2000-degree molten glass for over 20 years.  He makes fiery magic in Ohio’s Hocking Hills.  Starting with a bulb of clear glass, he adds glowing layers of colored enamels and precious metals. Each piece is then shaped and hand blown.  Working with combustible creativity and a sweltry kiln, Virginia ceramic artist Peggy Sue Wollins uses clay, discarded machinery parts and colorful glazes to make critter sculptures – each with its own unique personality and name. Her wild works include dogs, fish, cats, birds and other species that crawl out of her blazing imagination.
