Fifth Annual Let's Get Growing! Community Garden Workshop & Expo

Community gardeners, get growing at an informative workshop being offered in February by the Ohio State University Extension, Summit County Master Gardeners and Let’s Grow Akron. You’ll learn food-growing basics and get guidance on starting a community garden. The workshop is tailored for community gardeners, but anyone is welcome to attend!

Presentations, demonstrations, and resources from Summit County Master Gardeners and local experts on topics for beginner and seasoned community gardeners including: 

  • Seed Starting
  • Extending the growing season
  • Success from the Soil Up! 
  • Growing perennial fruits and vegetables 
  • Pest and weed management

Please bring your own water bottle and a bag lunch. Light snacks and water refill stations will be available.
