Join authors Joanna Wilson and D.X. Ferris during the Akron ArtWalk for the Fire and Ice Book Signing at Urban Eats (51 E. Market St., Akron 44308).

The Fire

D.X. Ferris is the author of Slayer 66 2/3: The Jeff & Dave Years. A Metal Band Biography and Suburban Metal Dad. He is an Ohio Society of Professional Journalists Reporter of the Year. He is also the author of Slayer’s Reign in Blood, which is part of Bloomsbury Academic’s prestigious 33 1/3 series. Ferris writes for the A.V. Club (a little bit). His work has appeared in RollingStone.com, Alternative Press, the Village Voice, Decibel, Metal Sucks, and other outlets. His Heavy Metal Game of Thrones Reviews run on Diffuser.fm. Popdose hosts his ongoing webcomic, Suburban Metal Dad. He was thrown out of the South of Heaven tour when a misdirected crowd surf landed him onstage.
