Garlic Mustard Pull and Spring Wildflower Walk

Presented by University of Akron Field Station at University of Akron Field Station, Akron OH

Apr 19 2020
Garlic Mustard Pull and Spring Wildflower Walk

Meet at the Ira Rd. trailhead at 1pm to join Drs. Randy Mitchell and Lara Roketenetz in this important yearly management activity for Bath Nature Preserve. Removing invasive Garlic Mustard from our woodlands allows our beautiful native wildflowers room to bloom! We will provide detailed identification instructions, bags, and gloves; wear suitable clothes and footwear for the weather and the outdoors. Bring a water bottle, camera, and your enthusiasm for protecting your local park!

This year we will again be partnering with Yellow Creek Foundation to harvest and clean the Garlic Mustard so that it can be made into garlic mustard pesto. If you can’t beat it, eat it!
