Great Lakes Black Authors Expo and Writers Conference

An all-day celebration of African American literature and promotion of literacy efforts! Our keynote speaker is Emmy Award winning director and Author, Margaret Bernstein, of WKYC CH3.

The Keynote Close-up with Margaret Bernstein will be facilitated by Jowan Smith, founder of “Getting Our Babies To College.” There will be panel discussions on the Legacy of Storytelling, the Book Club Collaborative, and “I Got Caught Reading” Exploring Literacy Initiatives, along with our Writer’s Workshops for various genres discussing techniques, marketing, and publishing.  Simultaneous to the conference will be the “Book Lover’s Marketplace” Author Expo with independent authors and book vendors selling their works and additional services. We look forward to seeing you there!
