Hand Crafted Wood Fired Pizza Night... Where Art and Food Come Together!

Join us at the gallery for this special night on Friday, May 12th from 6:30 to 9:00 PM as Kathy Lehr, from The Western Reserve School of Cooking, will lead the group in a pizza making and wood firing demo. Plus, you’ll enjoy your tasty artisan pizza on a handmade Zeber-Martell plate that will be yours to keep.

Kathy will demonstrate how to make the authentic dough of Naples and talk about the ingredients that are used for the dough and pizza. Bring an apron, as you may desire to try your hand at shaping, topping and baking one of your own classic Margherita Pizzas and pita-style round Pannetello Sandwichs. After learning to bake in the wood fired oven, enjoy the results of your new culinary skills with your creations served on a handcrafted 10″ square ceramic plate decorated just for the occasion with a glass of complimentary red wine.

The cost for this class includes pizza, pannetello, complimentary adult refreshments, and a handcrafted Zeber-Martell ceramic plate for only $95.

Kathy Lehr is an educator, restaurant consultant, and bread expert. She received her Grand Diploma from The Western Reserve School of Cooking where she trained under culinary master chef Zona Spray. She was mentored by French Chef Danielle Forestier, Julia Child’s bread consultant, in breads and has been teaching cooking classes around the country for 33 years. She teaches bread making classes in a wood fired oven in her backyard and has made a dry stack portable oven for traveling classes. Kathy has trained in California with VPN (Association of Naples, Italy) in authentic Napoletana pizza and is one of two people in the state of Ohio who has received this training.
