Hedda Gabler Auditions — The University of Akron

Auditions for Hedda Gabler

Roles for 4 women and 3 men

When: December 8, 5:30-7:30PM & December 9, 6:00-8:00PM

Where: Sandefur Theatre, Guzzetta Hall

What to prepare:

  • Memorize one line of text from any of the characters in the play, any translation.
  • Come prepared to play. There will be individual and group work.
  • Auditions are open to all University of Akron students, staff, faculty, and community members. No experience is necessary. Just bring your energy, creativity, and commitment.

Rehearsals will begin January 19, 2016. Rehearsals will be Sunday through Thursday from 6:30-10:00PM.

The University of Akron Theatre Program practices color-blind casting and encourages people of all races, creeds, and cultures to audition.

Performance Dates: February 25, 26, 27, March 3, 4, 5 at 7:30pm; February 28 and March 5 at 2pm.

PARKING INFO

Parking for audience members attending evening and weekend performances is free in the E.J. Thomas Hall deck when there is not an event in that venue. Handicap-accessible parking for audience members is available in all lots, including the residential surface lot across from Guzzetta Hall.
