Presenting GroundWorks DanceTheater at historic Glendale Cemetery. All performances are FREE and outside on the cemetery grounds beginning at 7:45pm with the The University Of Akron’s Dance Institute’s interactive program for young children and performances by GroundWorks DanceTheater beginning at 8:45pm. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, and plan a picnic if you wish before the show. PLEASE NOTE – no parking inside the cemetery. Please park outside in the lot across from the Main Gate or at marked parking lots on Exchange St. if entering there.

The Heinz Poll Summer Dance Festival is free of charge to the public and is a gift of the performing arts from the City of Akron to the community.

-Interactive young children’s program offered by the Dance Institute of the University of Akron at 7:45pm before each performance.
-Master class for advanced and high intermediate level dance students offered on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 11:00am – taught by a professional dancer from GroundWorks Dance Theater. Each class is limited to 30 participants. Advance registration required with Jane Startzman at janestartzman@gmail.com. $10 fee/person – due at time of class. Location – University of Akron/Center for Dance and Theatre in Guzzetta Hall, Albrecht Studio, 139 E. Buchtel Ave.
-Our new ourtreach program partner, ROAD (Reach Out and Dance) will present FREE workshops during the week of August 1 for children ages 7-11. Participating children will also have the opportunity to meet and interact with a professional dancer from GroundWorks Dance Theater at one of the three classes. Location, dates and times are:
