Verb Ballets, a Cleveland-based company presents cutting edge choreography paired with classical balletic works. The company is comprised of many Akron dancers and will perform a program containing several new works.
Presenting Verb Ballets at Hardesty Park. All performances are FREE and outside in in the park beginning at 7:45pm with the The University Of Akron’s Dance Institute‘s interactive program for young children and performances by Verb Ballets beginning at 8:45pm. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, and plan a picnic if you wish before the show.

The Heinz Poll Summer Dance Festival is free of charge to the public and is a gift of the performing arts by the City of Akron to the community.

-Interactive young children’s program offered by Dance Institute of the University of Akron at 7:45pm before each performance.
-Master class for advanced and high intermediate level dance students offered on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 11:00am – taught by either Associate Director or a professional dancer from Verb Ballets. Each class is limited to 30 participants. Advance registration required with Jane Startzman at janestartzman@gmail.com. $10 fee/person – due at time of class. Location – University of Akron/Center for Dance and Theatre in Guzzetta Hall, Albrecht studio, 139 E. Buchtel Ave.
-Our new outreach program partner, ROAD (Reach Out and Dance) will present FREE workshops during the week of July 25 for children ages 7-11. Participating children will also have the opportunity to meet and interact with a professional dancer from Verb Ballets at one of the classes. Location, dates and times are:
