Professor emeritus, Henry Halem, speaks about the history of Kent State’s studio glass program, one of the first of its kind in the country.
The School of Art is celebrating 50 years of its glass program with exhibitions and lectures this September. The program, one of the first of its kind in the country, was started in 1969 by Henry Halem, professor emeritus and co-founder of the Glass Art Society. A special lecture by Henry Halem about the history of the Kent State glass program and its beginnings will take place on Friday, September 6, 12-1 p.m., Center for the Visual Arts, Room 165. Free and open to the public.
