HOLIDAY TEA AT STAN HYWET FEATURES ACCLAIMED ORGANIST TODD WILSON

Presented by Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens, Akron OH

Dec 05 2015
HOLIDAY TEA AT STAN HYWET FEATURES ACCLAIMED ORGANIST TODD WILSON

The holiday tea begins in the Music Room with a performance by house organist Todd Wilson, playing the historic Aeolian Organ. After the concert, guests will enjoy tea and tea sandwiches as well as a presentation by Harriet Chapman, great-granddaughter of F.A. and Gertrude Seiberling. After tea, guests may take a self-guided tour of the Manor House, decorated for the holidays.

“Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season to relax at our holiday tea, listening to Todd Wilson on the Aeolian organ,” notes Kathleen C. Norman, Director of Public Programs at Stan Hywet.

Regarded in America and around the world as one of today’s finest concert organists, Todd Wilson is head of the organ department at The Cleveland Institute of Music. He is also curator of the E.M. Skinner pipe organ at Severance Hall (home of The Cleveland Orchestra) and director of music and worship at Trinity Cathedral, both in Cleveland, Ohio.

Harriet Chapman, great-granddaughter of Gertrude and F.A. Seiberling, shares her family’s holiday traditions and celebrations through photos and stories during tea.
