Presented by The Chameleon Village Theatre Collective at Cummings Center for the History of Psychology at The University of Akron, Akron OH

Ongoing
HOME

Starting in 2019, the Chameleon Village started exploring the connection between theatre and community development and engagement in the West Hill neighborhood. We started on a 3 year process of asking residents what HOME means to them, informing them about the mixed use zoning in the West Hill neighborhood, and creating a site-specific performance (with two different iterations – thanks COVID) that took place inside of a house in West Hill.

Now, you can see the entire process documented in an exhibition in partnership with the Cummings Center for the History of Psychology! HOME is a guest in the gallery alongside their “Home is…” exhibition exploring the many diverse definitions of “home” by bringing together a collection of community-loaned objects.
