Exhibition of artwork created by Christi Birchfield, Akron Soul Train’s November artist in residence.
Christi Birchfield, Akron Soul Train’s November artist in residence, will exhibit her new artwork titled I Speak in Idioms at Project Three Gallery from January 11-31, 2019. Birchfield’s sculptural forms are inspired by life’s fleeting nature. “Acknowledging the temporality of living things, I record all that I can through both intentional application and chance operations, often through a printed means.” Christi has exhibited her work extensively throughout Cleveland at prominent venues, including the Museum of Contemporary Art, and was recently awarded an Artist Individual Excellence Award, through the Ohio Arts Council.
