Improv 1: Play - A Six Week Class

Improv 1: Play is a six week workshop for beginner improvisers or those who would like to get to know Nathaniel’s style of teaching. You will learn to tap into your natural spontaneity, creativity and your willingness to take risks…and it’s fun!

Improv 1 is designed to get you up and playing. This six-week class offers progressively challenging (and fun) improv exercises in a low-pressure environment. You will learn to tap into your natural spontaneity, creativity and your willingness to take risks.

Improv 1 is rooted in the teachings of Keith Johnstone (a Canadian improv teacher and author of Impro). Mr. Johnstone emphasizes the need to get the improvisers in an ‘anxiety-free’ state, to get them working well together (building upon each other’s ideas), and to use improv as a form of story-telling, not just for gags and jokes.

Improv 1 is great for beginners as well as those with prior improv experience. This class may be repeated any number of times! Class limited to 14 students
