Join NCCAkron this spring for Inside the Dancer’s Studio, a live conversation series with choreographers from around the country. These virtual lunchtime talks explore creativity, craft, and career, and are free and open to all!

Join us on Friday, Mar. 19 for the fifth of our 2021 “Inside the Dancer’s Studio” conversations!

This series of free lunchtime talks with dance makers explores creativity, the craft of choreography, and navigating an artistic career. All talks take place virtually on Fridays at 12:30 PM ET.

On Friday, Mar. 19, we’re joined by Paula Mann (Minneapolis, MN), choreographer and co-founder of Time Track Productions.

Paula has journeyed from Appalachian roots to Detroit teenage runaway, through Kent State in the 1970’s, to NYU and the downtown dance scene of the 1980’s. She studied Humphrey/Limon technique with Ruth Currier and members of the Limon company, Hawkins technique with Eric Hawkins and Cunningham with Merce Cunningham. Her first concert of choreography was produced at the Merce Cunningham Studio in 1980 and later that year she co-founded Dudek/Mann + Dancers with partner Tina Dudek.
