Join NCCAkron and choreographers anna thompson and taylor knight of slowdanger (Pittsburgh, PA) for a live conversation on creativity, craft, and career.

Join NCCAkron and The University of Akron School of Dance, Theatre, and Arts Administration this spring for Inside the Dancer’s Studio, a live conversation series with choreographers from around the country.

These free morning talks explore creativity, the craft of choreography, and navigating an artistic career. All talks will take place on Fridays at 9:30 am ET in Studio 194 of Guzzetta Hall on The University of Akron Campus.

On Friday, March 17, hear from slowdanger (anna thompson + taylor knight) (Pittsburgh, PA).

Masks are optional for audience members.

slowdanger is a multidisciplinary performance entity utilizing movement, found material, integrative technology, electronic instrumentation, and vocalization to produce performance work since 2013. They have been featured in/by Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch” (2018), MoMA, The Kennedy Center, The Warhol Museum, Usine C, and more. PARKING INFO

Parking for audience members attending evening and weekend performances is free in the E.J. Thomas Hall deck when there is not an event in that venue. Handicap-accessible parking for audience members is available in all lots, including the residential surface lot across from Guzzetta Hall.
