JazzFest is back! Join UA students, faculty, and guests Sean Jones and Sam Blakeslee in locations throughout Akron. Jones is chair of Jazz Studies at Peabody Institute and an international touring artist. Blakeslee (MM ’13) is “a name to keep in mind as an upcoming creative, contemporary, and, more importantly, engaging composer, no matter the musical setting” (jazz bassist Rufus Reid).
Tuesday, April 4, 6:30 p.m. – Jones and Blakeslee with UA faculty Theron Brown and Chris Coles | Edgar’s Restaurant, 530 Nome Ave. | $15 admission
Wednesday, April 5, 8 p.m. – Sean Jones, Sam Blakeslee, and Student Jazz Ensemble | Blu Jazz+, 47 E. Market St.| $10 general, students free with ID
Thursday, April 6, 7:00 p.m. – Open Forum |Guzzeta Recital Hall | Free and open to the public

PARKING INFO

Parking for audience members attending evening and weekend performances is free in the E.J. Thomas Hall deck when there is not an event in that venue. Handicap-accessible parking for audience members is available in all lots, including the residential surface lot across from Guzzetta Hall.
