Kaleidoscope is back for its 18th year at Summit Artspace. This year’s submissions break with tradition.

KALEIDOSCOPE VIRTUAL AWARDS ANNOUNCEMENT | ONLINE

Let’s end 2020 with a joyous celebration of vibrant local art in the 18th Annual Kaleidoscope Juried Art Exhibition, at SummitArtspace from Nov. 20 to Dec. 19.

The winners, who are vying for cash prizes, will be announced via social media at 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 19, on Summit Artspace social media and its website. The virtual video premier will be hosted by exhibit juror Christy Davis, curator of exhibitions at the Canton Museum of Art.

Kaleidoscope has a history! The annual holiday event was founded in 2003 by the Alliance for the Visual Arts, the umbrella group of four area arts organizations: Akron Society of Artists, Artists of Rubber City, Cuyahoga Valley Art Center – CVAC and the Women’s Art League of Akron.

The show opens in the Summit Artspace main first floor gallery on Thursday, Nov. 20, at noon, for in-person visits. Admission is free. Weekly gallery hours are Thursday and Friday, 12- 7 p.m.; and Saturday, 12-5 p.m. Summit ... view more »
