Arts @ Holy Trinity concert series – Friday, April 22, 7:30 p.m. (Doors open at 7 p.m.)  A reception follows.

Ken Cowan received his Master’s Degree and Artist Diploma from the Yale Institute of Sacred Music, studying with Thomas Murray.  Mr. Cowan is currently the head of the organ department and Associate professor at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University and is the winner of numerous awards in the United States and Canada.

Lisa Shihoten is an active chamber musician, recitalist, and teacher.  She made her New York debut at Avery Fisher Hall under the direction of Kurt Masur.  Ms. Shihoten is the recipient of top awards from such competitions as the Marcia Polayes National Competition, and the National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts.  She has appeared with numerous ensembles and at summer festivals, including the Aspen Music Festival and the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival.
