Kent Creativity Festival

The festival provides an opportunity for people of all ages and skill levels to come together to create, share and explore the making of ALL forms of art. It is a collective effort by the City of Kent and Kent State University College of the Arts.

The 2019 Kent Creativity Festival will be held on Sat., Sept. 28 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. This FREE event draws nearly 3,000 annually and provides an opportunity for people of all ages and skill levels to come together to create, share and explore the making of all forms of art. The festival takes place at Kent State University on the Lester A. Lefton Esplanade between S. Lincoln St. and downtown Kent, Ohio.  It is a collective effort by the City of Kent and Kent State University College of the Arts, in  partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and the Ohio Arts Council.

A few examples of past interactive activities include:

Creative Story Telling: participate in creative story telling in words and action complete with props and costumes. Poetry: write and illustrate your own poem.
