Leading for Social Justice Exhibition 2019

Students get loud with their art in this social justice show, Nov. 23-Dec. 14, organized by Art for Resistance through Change (ART-C).

The members of ART-C–Kent State University’s aspiring school leaders and teachers, k-12 students, their teachers, local school leaders and community artists–give voice to social justice issues in this exhibit entitled Make Art & Re-ACT.

The opening, including a reception with artists, is Saturday, Nov. 23, 12-5 p.m., in the Transition Gallery and second floor exhibit space. The show and opening are free and open to the public.

GALLERY HOURS

Summit Artspace is open weekly Thursday and Friday, 12-7 p.m, Saturday, 12-5 p.m.; free.  Also open for Artwalk on Dec. 7, 5-9 p.m

Arts & Culture Inclusion Council Presents: Representation Matters- Photography and Ad Spend

In this virtual workshop, Rob Greer, Tyron Hoisten, and Elizabeth Tipton will discuss why representation matters in advertising and content creation, drawing on their recent experience participating in ArtsNow’s SEEN initiative.
