The Cummings Center’s Institute for Human Science and Culture is hosting three original art exhibits from graduating seniors of the Myers School of Art at The University of Akron. This collaboration is made possible through The University of Akron Arts & Culture Council, dedicated to fostering collaboration and visibility between arts & culture leaders on campus.
About the Artists
Emotional Creatures by James Edwards
James Edwards is a jewelry and metalsmithing major graduating from The University of Akron’s Myers School of Art at the end of the Spring 2022 semester. Originally from Rochester, NY, James plans on starting his own jewelry art business. His work is mainly comprised of cast metal objects, from pendants working with organic forms to larger sculptural works of mystical creatures representing inner emotions and states of mind. PARKING INFO
Free parking is available in the lot directly adjacent to the building. This lot contains a dedicated accessible parking spot near the museum entrance.
Free parking is also available in Lot 30 at the corner of College and Market streets, which contains several accessible parking spaces.
Metered parking is available along South College Street. Pavement from Lot 30 and metered parking may be uneven, and people with limited mobility should exercise caution.
