Pop-Up Dance Classes with ArtSparks!

Where is Summit County is ArtSparks? Follow us throughout the summer for FREE outdoor dance classes in locations across Akron and Cuyahoga Falls!

A series of  engaging outdoor pop-up dance classes for children and families in locations across Akron, Cuyahoga Falls, and beyond in June, July, and August. Get up and moving— and explore your community with the ArtSparks team!

Each 45 min class is taught by a lead dance teacher/choreographer, assistant dance teacher, and musician. Participants will receive a map on their first class and collect a sticker/badge for each class/location they attend. The class is geared towards elementary age children (5-10yrs old) of all abilities.

All classes will be socially distanced and have a focus on the following themes:

Physical Activity

Creativity and Imagination

Social and Emotional Well-Being

Arts & Culture Inclusion Council Presents: Representation Matters- Photography and Ad Spend

In this virtual workshop, Rob Greer, Tyron Hoisten, and Elizabeth Tipton will discuss why representation matters in advertising and content creation, drawing on their recent experience participating in ArtsNow’s SEEN initiative. This panel will be moderated by a member of the Arts & Culture Inclusion Council.
