Puppetry and Kids: Expressive Tools for Challenging Times

How do we explain COVID-19 and social isolation to young children in a way that makes them feel safe? How do we encourage them to share their feelings about the pandemic we are currently living through? Puppets can be an enormous asset in engaging young children in dialogue because they help externalize feelings and invite self-expression. In this session, you will learn from an early childhood expert how to use puppets to help young children share their thoughts and feelings about social isolation and the transition back to school.

This online workshop is for anyone with a child in their life, personally or professionally. The ideas covered will specifically support children from preschool to elementary age, including those with special needs. The session itself, however, is intended for adults only.
