Recognizing and Understanding the Progression of Dementia

Presented by Mustard Seed Market & Cafe at Mustard Seed Market & Cafe - Montrose, Akron OH

Jan 26 2016
Recognizing and Understanding the Progression of Dementia

“[Teepa]’s ability to reach an audience is as good as any speaker I have ever had in my thirty years as a meeting planner. Along with that her knowledge of how to care for dementia residents is the best I have ever experienced.” – George MacKenzie

Attendees of this workshop will gain an understanding of the progression of dementia through Senior Gems, a proprietary program developed by Senior Helpers and dementia expert Teepa Snow that focuses on what is precious and unique about all of our clients. The goal is to move away from recognizing the losses and instead see what is possible with the right setting and the right kind of care.

***

As one of America’s leading educators on dementia, Teepa Snow’s philosophy is reflective of her education, work experience, available medical research, and first hand caregiving interactions. Working as a Registered Occupational Therapist for over 30 years her wealth of experience has led her to develop  Positive Approach™ to Care techniques and training models that now are used by families and professionals working or living with dementia or other brain changes throughout the world.
