AKRON, OH – Join acclaimed Northeast Ohio singer-songwriter Ryan Humbert for his 14th annual holiday variety show,
this year entitled “Holiday Hangout” The concert takes place at the Goodyear Theater in Akron on Friday, December 16, at 7:30 p.m.
“The Goodyear Theater is a beautifully restored venue that offers an intimate concert experience, while still seating
nearly 1,500 people,” Humbert said. “I think it’s a perfect fit for the fun, lively show we have planned.”
This special evening will feature full-band, holiday-themed sets from Humbert’s band The Shootouts, as well as
Northeast Ohio favorites The Labra Brothers, Angie Haze, Hey Monea, Marc Lee Shannon, Ohio Weather Band, and Shelby Olive. Each band will perform a 20-minute set featuring a mix of seasonal classics and original songs.
Humbert’s annual holiday concert has become a tradition for many in Northeast Ohio. Previously dubbed the “Holiday Extravaganza,” the now-annual concert began in 2009 at the historic Akron Civic Theater – except for a live-streamed version of the show during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. In previous years, Humbert’s holiday concert has included agenre-crossing range of holiday music, including big band, rock & roll, bluegrass, and more.
“I’m really excited to be bringing my holiday concert back to Akron for the 14 th year in a row – and to be bringing a lot of talented friends with me,” Humbert said. “It’s going to be a great night for music lovers to kick back, relax and enjoy a wide variety of exciting holiday music from some of our area’s best bands.”
