Sabertooth Public Art Showcase Open House

A new small business has emerged in Akron and they are hosting a party for the community on Friday, May 19th from 7-10pm! Sabertooth Public Art has partnered up with R. Shea Brewing at Canal Place to transform their Bridal Suite into something SWEET.

Sabertooth Public Art is a women-owned creative placemaking business dedicated to celebrating public spaces and helping businesses create distinctive marks as unique as tiger stripes.  Elisa Gargarella and Marissa McClellan bring over 25 years of combined work in public art making, education, creative programming and community building to their latest business venture.

The owners of Sabertooth and their friends at R. Shea would like to invite the public to enjoy art, music and games on the Brew Floor of their Canal Place Brewery.  There will be a cash bar and lots and lots of photo opportunities will be available. Sabertooth’s plan is to reveal how their creative placemaking business can take even the darkest space and turn it into a bright, bold and exciting environment with a one-of-a-kind mural and other unique site or theme specific art installations.
