Sensory Storytime

The Autism Society of Greater Akron partners with the Akron-Summit County Public Library to bring Sensory StoryTime to our community. It’s not your typical story time. This interactive program offers a welcoming environment for those with differing abilities, their siblings, caregivers and typical peers. A visual schedule is used to guide participants through stories that are read aloud and demonstrated on flannel boards. Songs and movement are also incorporated followed by a social time for all. The program is offered at two different times the 3rd Saturday of each month – 10:30am and 11:30am. Both classes contain the same content, so choose the one that best fits your family’s schedule.
